Checks prior to laying

Before commencing installation work, check whether the construction site is in the contractually agreed condition. This includes

• A paved driveway to the construction site that can be accessed by articulated trucks with a max. laden weight of 40 tons and by mobile cranes.
• Suitable working areas with a load-bearing surface, e.g. for using travelling scaffold towers
• Appropriate areas for storing building elements.

Before commencing installation work, check the supporting structure for its suitability, e.g., evenness, rectangularity, required supporting width etc.. Any defects, which might adversely affect installation or make installation impossible, must be reported in writing to the contractor, in line with VOB part B § 4, phrase 3.
